Blackcurrant fruit drink with lemon balm
Do not rush to freeze leftover black currants for the winter. Prepare fruit drink better. Spicy blackcurrant juice will quench your thirst in the heat, and cheer you up.
Ingredients
- 1 kg of black currant
- 5-6 sprigs of lemon balm
- 1 clove button
- 200 g of sugar
STEP-BY-STEP COOKING RECIPE
Step 1
Sort the berries, separate from the branches, rinse. Place a sieve over a bowl, put the berries in it and mash with a wooden crush, carefully separating the juice from the cake. You can also use a juicer for this purpose.
Step 2
Put the cake in a saucepan, add 3 liters of water, bring to a boil and cook for 10 minutes.
Step 3
Add cloves and lemon balm, cook for another 5 minutes. Remove from heat and let it brew for 1 hour.
Step 4
Strain the broth, add squeezed juice and sugar to it. Let the fruit drink cool completely and infuse in the refrigerator, from 2 tsp.
