Forshmak

Forshmak can be considered an international dish: herring with apple is prepared both in the East and in the West. It is considered “their” dish by Jews, Swedes and Finns alike. In general, forshmak is a world snack in the full sense of the word.

Ingredients
  • lightly salted herring - 200 g
  • stale small loaf -30 g
  • onions -70 g
  • green apple -30 g
  • chicken egg -2 pcs
  • vegetable oil -20 g
  • butter -50 g

STEP-BY-STEP COOKING RECIPE

Step 1
Finely chop the slightly salted herring, rub the stale small loaf on a fine grater, finely chop the onion (20 g), peel the green apple and rub it on a coarse grater, finely chop the boiled eggs.
Step 2
Saute onions (50 g) in vegetable oil.
