Katlama - fried puff pastry made from unleavened dough, with or without filling. According to this recipe, katlama is prepared without filling. A great option when there is no bread at home or you want something for tea.

Ingredients
  • flour 1 cup (s)
  • water 100 ml
  • salt 0.5 tsp
  • butter 30 g
  • vegetable oil 50 ml

STEP-BY-STEP COOKING RECIPE

Step 1
Roll out the dough thinly and brush with butter.
Step 2
Roll the dough into a tight roll.
Step 3
Cut the roll into about 8 barrels 3-4 cm long.
Step 4
Turn each barrel over and flatten into a thin cake, about 1-2 mm thick.
Step 5
Spread butter on top of the cakes again.
Step 6
Fry the cakes on both sides in hot vegetable oil.
Step 7
Katlama is ready. Fried tortillas can be eaten, for example, with meat, or sprinkled with powdered sugar on top and served as a sweet dessert for tea.
