Turkey meatballs with mozzarella in tomato sauce
Delicious, juicy and dietary meatballs with aromatic tomato sauce.
Ingredients
- for meatballs: turkey fillet 500 g
- mocarella-mini STOCK - CA, USA 20 шт.

- for tomato sauce: cherry tomatoes 350 g
- onion 1 pc.
- fresh thyme (twigs) 5 pcs.
- garlic (cloves) 3 pcs.
- vegetable oil for frying 1 tbsp.

STEP-BY-STEP COOKING RECIPE
Step 1
Cooking meatballs. Pass the fillet and onion through a meat grinder, salt and pepper, mix well.
Step 2
Form small cakes from the minced meat, put a mozzarella ball on the cakes and mold the meatball.
Step 3
Grease the form a little with butter, put the meatballs and put in the oven. Bake at 180 ° C for 15–20 minutes.
Step 4
Cooking the sauce. Finely chop the onion and garlic. Cut the tomatoes into small pieces (you can first remove the skin from the tomatoes, I did not, since the skin of cherry tomatoes is thin and not particularly felt). Fry the onion and garlic in vegetable oil, add the tomatoes and simmer for 3-4 minutes.
Step 5
Free the thyme from the twigs, add to the tomatoes, season with salt, pepper, then simmer for 2-3 minutes. Dried thyme can be used if fresh thyme is not on hand.
Step 6
Remove the meatballs from the oven and pour the sauce over them. Place in the oven and bake at 180 ° C for 10 minutes.
