Beef stew with raisins
The beef turns out to be soft and juicy, in a fragrant vegetable gravy.
- beef 1.5 kg
- onion 2 pcs.
- carrots 2 pcs.
- ginger root piece 3 cm
- raisins dark 3 tbsp
- vegetable oil 70 ml
- salt to taste
- ground black pepper to taste
STEP-BY-STEP COOKING RECIPE
Wash the beef, dry it, cut into thin long pieces. Pepper, drizzle with 1 tbsp. l. oil, stir and refrigerate for 1 hour.
Pour some oil into the pan. Fry the meat in small portions over high heat for 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally. Place the beef in a saucepan.
Peel the carrots, wash, dry, grate on a coarse grater. Pour some of the oil into a pan and fry the carrots in it for 3-4 minutes.
Peel the onion and cut into long strips. Fry the onions in the remaining oil until golden brown.
Add fried onions and carrots to the meat.
Peel the ginger root, about 3 cm long, and grate it on a fine grater.
Rinse the raisins in hot water.
Add grated ginger and raisins to a saucepan with beef and vegetables. Pour warm water into a saucepan flush with the contents, bring to a boil, season with salt. Cover and simmer over low heat until the meat is tender.
Place the beef on a plate and serve. Delicious with fresh vegetable salad. Rice or boiled potatoes are perfect as a side dish. Enjoy your meal!
