According to the classic recipe, chanakhi is the second dish, however, some housewives have modified it and prepare a similar to the taste chanakhi soup with lamb. And I am one of them.

  • lamb on the bone 500 g
  • mini potatoes 8 pcs.
  • onion 1 pc.
  • water 3.5 liters
  • olives 0.5 cans
  • tomato paste 150 g
  • garlic 4 cloves
  • salt to taste


Step 1
Wash the meat, put in a saucepan and boil until tender. When the lamb is tender, add the peeled mini-potatoes to the broth. Cut the onion into half rings and fry until light golden brown. Peel and chop the garlic with a garlic press. When the potatoes are ready, add the fried onions, tomato paste, chopped garlic, olives and salt to the soup. Cook the soup for another 5-10 minutes, then completely cover the pan with a lid and let the soup brew.
