Fried zucchini with cheese sauce
Fried zucchini is most often served with sour cream or mayonnaise, herbs and garlic. We offer a new accompaniment option - a sauce made with soft cheese and sour cream with herbs, which is very tasty and nutritious.
- 4 medium courgettes
- 200 g sour cream
- 150 g feta cheese or feta cheese
- 1 bunch mixed herbs (basil, parsley, mint)
- melted butter
- salt, freshly ground black pepper
STEP-BY-STEP COOKING RECIPE
Cut the courgettes (peeled or not, optional) into 1.5–2 cm thick circles. Fry in a heavy-bottomed skillet in melted butter until golden brown on both sides. This can be done in the evening, and just warm up quickly in the morning. Salt and pepper the prepared zucchini.
For the cheese sauce, chop the herbs with a knife or blender. Mash the cheese with a fork, mix with herbs and sour cream (this can also be done in the evening).
Spread the hot zucchini on plates, top with the sauce, pepper and serve immediately.
