Herring with green peas under tomato marinade
Salted herring will acquire a new taste if you prepare an original marinade for it. Peas eliminate excessive salinity, while capers add piquancy.
- salted herring 0.5 pcs.
- onion 1 pc
- tomato ketchup TM Maheev 2 tbsp
- sugar 0.5 tsp.
- black pepper to taste
- green peas 4 tbsp
- capers 1 tsp.
- vegetable oil
STEP-BY-STEP COOKING RECIPE
Cut the onion into half rings and fry in vegetable oil until golden brown. Fried onions will give the herring a pleasant "smoked" taste and aroma.
Add TM Maheev ketchup to the onion pan.
Heat fried onions and ketchup together for 1 minute, sprinkle with sugar to taste so that it doesn't get too sour. You can add a little salt if desired. Leave to cool.
