Potato waffles with mushroom sauce
  • 3-4 potato tubers
  • 1 onion
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 100-120 g flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 2 eggs
  • 0.5 tsp curry powder
  • vegetable oil
  • dill for serving
  • salt
  • freshly ground black pepper
  • 150 g champignons
  • 1 small onion
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • 150 ml cream, 33% fat
  • leaves from 1-2 sprigs of fresh thyme


Step 1
For waffles, grate potatoes and onions on a coarse grater, garlic finely. Add eggs, beaten with salt and freshly ground black pepper, flour, baking powder, curry. Knead the dough until smooth and leave for 10-15 minutes.
Step 2
Using a waffle iron, bake the waffles, occasionally brushing them with vegetable oil.
Step 3
At the same time, cut the mushrooms into slices for the sauce. Chop the garlic and onion. Fry the mushrooms in vegetable oil, 5-7 minutes. Add onion, garlic and thyme. Cook for 2 more minutes.
Step 4
Pour cream over the mushrooms, reduce heat and heat until thickened, 3-4 minutes. Serve the waffles hot, season with sauces and sprinkle with finely chopped dill.
