Spicy mustard

Often buying mustard in a store called "Russian", you get disappointed. It lacks that very pungent taste and pungency. Today I propose to cook hot mustard at home, which is ideal for jellied meat, various meat snacks, and will simply delight you with its punchy taste if spread on a crust of black bread.

Spicy mustard
  • mustard powder 10 tbsp
  • sugar 4 tsp.
  • salt 1 tsp
  • boiled water 58 ° С 300 ml
  • vegetable oil 2 tsp
  • apple cider vinegar 3 tbsp


Step 1
Put loose ingredients in a container: mustard powder sifted through a sieve, sugar and salt. Pouring boiled water (58 ° C) in a thin stream into a container with dry ingredients, mix them thoroughly so that not a single grain remains. Next, add vegetable oil and apple cider vinegar, and mix thoroughly again. We put the mustard in a jar, wrap the jar in a terry towel and put it on the battery overnight so that the mustard ripens. In the morning we remove the mustard from the battery and let it brew for another 3-4 days.
