Apple marshmallow

Very delicate, airy dessert. Do not compare with the purchased one!

Apple marshmallow
  • apples 200 g
  • sugar 3/4 cup (s)
  • egg whites 3 pcs.
  • drinking water 1 glass (s)
  • gelatin 1 tbsp.
  • citric acid 1/4 tsp


Step 1
Pour gelatin with water and leave for 1 hour to swell. Peel the apples from seeds and bake in the oven, cool, rub through a sieve.
Step 2
Bring the gelatin solution to a boil, stirring all the time, add sugar, boil with sugar for 1 - 2 minutes. Add the applesauce and bring to a boil again.
Step 3
Beat the cooled egg whites. Without stopping whisking, pour the hot mixture into the proteins in a thin stream. Add citric acid diluted in a tablespoon of water.
Step 4
Pour warm marshmallows into molds moistened with water and refrigerate for several hours.
