Tuna patties

Such pies will always come in handy - they can be served as a snack, with a plate of vegetable or fish soup. They can be used as a snack at work. Or take a picnic.

Tuna patties
  • 400 g of puff unleavened dough
  • 200 g canned tuna s / s
  • 100 g cheese
  • 1 medium onion
  • 6 sprigs of parsley
  • 1 tbsp. l. mustard
  • 1 egg
  • poppy for topping
  • olive oil
  • salt, freshly ground black pepper


Step 1
Preheat oven to 200 ° C.
Step 2
Peel and finely chop the onion. Heat the oil in a skillet and fry the onion until soft, 5 minutes.
Step 3
Place the tuna on a strainer to drain the liquid. Grate the cheese. Chop the parsley leaves finely.
Step 4
In a bowl, combine onion, cheese, tuna, parsley, mustard, salt and pepper. Stir well.
Step 5
Roll out the puff pastry into a 3 mm thick layer and cut into 7 cm squares.
Step 6
Place the filling in the center of the square and fold in a triangle. Pinch the edges. Transfer the finished pies to a baking sheet.
Step 7
Beat the egg with 1 tbsp. l. water. Gently brush the surface of the patties with an egg and sprinkle with poppy seeds.
Step 8
Bake for 15-20 minutes, until patties are golden brown. Serve warm or cool completely.
