Cherry and red currant compote
This recipe for cherry and red currant compote is absolutely universal - it can be preserved, or you can not wait for winter and drink it now. Slightly sour, with spicy notes, the compote is very good in the heat.
Ingredients
- 300 g red currant
- 300 g cherries
- 3 liters of drinking water
- 300 g of sugar
- 1 cinnamon stick
STEP-BY-STEP COOKING RECIPE
Step 1
Remove the currants from the twigs, remove the seeds from the cherries, if desired.
Step 2
Bring 3 liters of water with sugar to a boil, add berries and cinnamon, bring the compote to a boil again, remove from heat, cool and let it brew in the refrigerator, 8-12 hours.
