Carrots baked in honey with thyme
Carrots baked with honey and thyme are very aromatic and tender. It can be served as a side dish with pork or chicken, and in fasting with tofu or as an independent dish.
- 500-600 g of small carrots, can be with tops
- 4 cloves of garlic
- 3-4 sprigs of thyme
- 3 tbsp. l. buckwheat honey
- 3 tbsp. l. butter O'KEY 82.5% fat
- 0.5 tsp freshly ground allspice
- 1 tsp coarse sea salt O'KEY
STEP-BY-STEP COOKING RECIPE
Preheat oven to 170 ° C. Line a large baking dish with baking paper. Peel or scrape the carrots with an iron brush. Cut large carrots across into 3-4 parts, leave small carrots as they are (you can save 2-3 cm of tops).
Place the carrots in the prepared dish in one layer. Crush, peel and finely chop the garlic with salt and allspice. Add thyme leaves.
Cover the mold with foil. Bake the carrots for 30 minutes. Then remove the foil, stir the carrots and bake until completely soft, about 20 minutes. Serve with the bird.
