Chicken breast with almonds in sweet and sour glaze
Delicious, juicy chicken, with a crispy brown crust, will certainly appeal to all participants of the feast, and sweet and sour glaze will add appetizing and piquancy to the dish !!!
Ingredients
- chicken breast 400 g
- onion 1 pc.
- garlic 1 pc.
- marjoram 1 tsp.
- olive oil 4 tablespoons
- ground almonds 3 tablespoons
- 1 pinch salt
- freshly ground pepper mixture 1 pinch
- 1 bunch parsley
- sugar 3 tbsp
- water 100 ml
- ground ginger 1 dl
- balsamic sauce 1 dl
- ketchup 3 tbsp
- lemon juice 1 tbsp
STEP-BY-STEP COOKING RECIPE
Step 1
We wash the chicken breast, dry it, cut into small cubes.
Step 2
Heat the olive oil in a frying pan and fry the chicken pieces until golden brown. We put it in a cup.
Step 3
In the same frying pan, fry the onions cut into small cubes until golden brown, add chopped almonds, mix and fry for 1 minute.
Step 4
Add chicken pieces, salt and pepper to taste, mix and fry for 7-10 minutes. Finally, add finely chopped garlic and marjoram.
Step 5
Prepare ketchup, balsamic sauce and ground ginger.
Step 6
For sweet and sour glaze, pour sugar into a saucepan, add water and bring to a boil over medium heat.
Step 7
When the sugar begins to caramelize, add the ketchup, balsamic sauce and ginger to the saucepan, mix, put on medium heat and cook for 3-5 minutes, stirring constantly, until smooth. Remove from heat and add lemon juice. Mix well again.
Step 8
The glaze is ready. It has a caramel consistency, pleasant aroma and delicate sweet and sour taste !!!
Step 9
Put the chicken pieces in a plate, pour them with icing, decorate with herbs, almond petals and serve !!! The chicken is good both hot and cold. Enjoy your meal!!!
