Lean cabbage rolls
Ingredients
  • white cabbage 1 pc.
  • round grain rice 500 g
  • sunflower oil 150 g
  • onion 200 g
  • bell pepper 150 g
  • celery stalk 100 g
  • tomatoes 100 g
  • carrots 100 g
  • garlic 20 g
  • hops suneli 5 g
  • greens mix (basil, dill, garlic) 15 g
  • sacibeli 200 g
  • adjika 10 g

STEP-BY-STEP COOKING RECIPE

Step 1
Cut in the area of the stump, dip it into salted boiling water, as the cabbage begins to change color and open, we begin to remove the leaves from it one by one. Then again we put it in boiling water and again remove the 2nd layer, thus we clear all the cabbage.
Step 2
Cook the rice for about 20 minutes. We drain the water and rinse the rice.
Step 3
We do the frying. Cut and fry the onion until transparent in a pan with sunflower oil, finely chop the bell pepper, carrots, celery, tomatoes into cubes and fry everything together for 10 minutes, then add the rice. Mix everything and add 20 gr. garlic, all the herbs and spices.
Step 4
We begin to twist the cabbage rolls. Take a cabbage leaf, spread the filling and wrap it. We spread everything tightly into an empty saucepan, after filling the pan, pour warm water diluted with satsibeli sauce and add a spoonful of adjika, cover with a light press or a lid and cook for 20-25 minutes, depending on the size of the cabbage rolls.
