Baked chicken with adjika and lemon
Ingredients
- 1 An-Noor chicken weighing 1.5 kg
- 100 g butter
- 1 tsp red Abkhaz adjika
- 3 lemons
- 5-6 sprigs of thyme
- salt, freshly ground pepper
STEP-BY-STEP COOKING RECIPE
Step 1
Soften the butter at room temperature. Preheat oven to 220 ° C. Mix oil with adjika, spread half of this mixture on chicken on all sides. Rub the inside of the chicken with salt and pepper.
Step 2
Line a baking dish with baking paper or foil. Slice the lemons lengthwise into 4-6 slices. Place 3 slices in the belly of the bird. Place the rest of the lemons and thyme in the center of the mold.
Step 3
Place the chicken breast side down on top of the lemons. Place in the oven for 20 minutes.
Step 4
Reduce oven temperature to 140 ° C. Remove the mold, turn the chicken breast-side up, brush with the remaining adjika oil and return to the oven for 1 hour. Before serving, let the chicken stand under a sheet of foil for 15 minutes. and only then cut and serve.
