Pepper stuffed with minced meat in tomato sauce
Ingredients
  • sweet pepper 15 pcs.
  • minced meat 800 g
  • rice, boiled until half cooked 1 cup (s)
  • onion 1 pc.
  • carrots 1 pc.
  • ripe tomatoes 10 pcs.
  • garlic (cloves) 5 pcs.
  • chili pepper 1/4 pc.
  • sugar 2 tsp.
  • olive oil 2 tablespoons
  • sour cream 5 tbsp
  • fresh thyme 1/5 bunch (s)

STEP-BY-STEP COOKING RECIPE

Step 1
Prepare tomato sauce. To do this, heat 1 tbsp in a saucepan. l olive oil. Cut the tomatoes into cubes, put them in a saucepan and first fry them over high heat for 7 minutes (until they give a lot of juice), then simmer over medium heat for 10-15 minutes. Add finely chopped garlic and a few hot chili peppers about halfway through the frying. Finally, add salt and sugar to taste. Sugar - about 1-2 tsp, without it the taste of this sauce will not open.
Step 2
Pour the sauce into a colander and grind it, getting rid of the tomato skin. I use a special rubbing attachment for my food processor, or it can be rubbed through a sieve.
Step 3
Peel the onions and carrots, chop the onions into small cubes, grate the carrots on a fine grater. Fry onions and carrots in vegetable oil until tender.
Step 4
Prepare the filling. To do this, mix the minced meat, boiled rice until half cooked, fried onions with carrots, salt and pepper.
Step 5
Mix everything thoroughly, be sure to add 1/2 cup or even a little more cold boiled water - this way we dilute the minced meat and the filling will turn out to be loose.
Step 6
Pour over the sauce, add a couple of tablespoons of sour cream, put a few sprigs of thyme on top. There are two ways to cook peppers: on the stove or in the oven. For stove: bring sauce to a boil, cover, simmer for 40 minutes. For the oven: put in an oven preheated to the maximum temperature, wait for a boil, reduce the heat to 200 degrees and cook for about an hour.
Step 7
