Abkhazian chicken in a frying pan

For such a gorgeous chicken, it's not a sin to buy the right pan - a large, deep, cast-iron one. Or small portioned cast-iron frying pans - according to the number of people who usually sit at the table in your home.

Abkhazian chicken in a frying pan
Ingredients
  • 1 small chicken
  • 1 tsp ground paprika
  • hot red pepper
  • 1 medium onion
  • 1 medium bell pepper
  • 1 medium carrot
  • 1 large ripe tomato
  • 2-3 cloves of garlic and a small bunch of cilantro, to serve
  • vegetable oil
  • salt, freshly ground black pepper

STEP-BY-STEP COOKING RECIPE

Step 1
Cut the chicken into small pieces. Season with paprika, salt, black and red pepper. Stir with your hands to absorb the spices into the meat. Heat the oil in a large skillet. Add chicken and fry over medium heat until lightly golden brown.
Step 2
Peel the onions and carrots. Cut bell peppers in half, remove seeds and partitions. Cut everything into thin strips. Add the prepared vegetables to the chicken pan and simmer covered, stirring occasionally, until the chicken is done, about 20 minutes.
Step 3
Cut the tomato into large wedges. Crush, peel and finely chop the garlic. Chop the cilantro finely.
Step 4
Put the tomato slices in the pan and add a little salt. Close the lid to let the tomato juice and boil.
Step 5
Remove skillet from heat, add garlic and herbs, stir and serve immediately in skillet.
