Quick stew with cabbage and potatoes
This stew is prepared almost instantly, the most budgetary products are taken for it, and the result is a hearty and very aromatic dish.
Ingredients
- 1 medium head of cabbage
- 1 large onion
- 4 large potatoes
- 4-5 sausages or hunting sausages, or mixtures, if desired
- melted butter
- salt, freshly ground black pepper
STEP-BY-STEP COOKING RECIPE
Step 1
Chop the cabbage into ribbons 1.5–2 cm wide, removing the stalk. Then slice across into 1.5–2 cm pieces.
Step 2
Peel the onions and potatoes. Cut the onion into quarters and cut the potatoes into 2 cm cubes.
Step 3
Sauté the onions in a deep heavy-bottomed saucepan in oil, 5 minutes. Add potatoes, fry for another 5 minutes.
Step 4
Add cabbage, stir, salt, season with pepper and simmer over low heat, covered, until cabbage and potatoes are soft, about 20 minutes.
Step 5
Cut sausages or sausages into pieces 2 cm long and for 5-7 minutes. Pour in stew until tender and stir. Serve the stew very hot.
