Egg salad
The traditional egg salad is made up of eggs, onions and mayonnaise. Our version of the salad is much healthier, it has a lot of fresh vegetables, and the capers add flavor to the salad. Those who are on a strict diet can completely abandon mayonnaise by seasoning the salad with sour cream and a spoonful of mustard.
Ingredients
- 4 eggs
- half a sweet red pepper
- 1 medium carrot
- 3 feathers of green onions
- 2 tbsp. l. sour cream
- 2 tbsp. l. mayonnaise
- 1 tbsp. l. capers
- salt, freshly ground black pepper
STEP-BY-STEP COOKING RECIPE
Step 1
1. Place the eggs in a small saucepan and cover with cold water. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 6 minutes. Transfer the eggs to a bowl of cold water to stop cooking. Clean and cool.
Step 2
2. Cut the eggs into medium cubes. Chop green onions. Grate the carrots on a coarse grater. Cut the bell peppers into cubes.
Step 3
3. Rinse the capers from salt and chop.
Step 4
4. Put carrots, peppers, onions and capers in a bowl, add mayonnaise and sour cream, mix well. Add eggs, salt and pepper, and stir the salad again.
