Kenyan green tea. Summer berry mix.

It is a well-known fact that thanks to its healing properties, tea helps to fight thirst in the heat and replenishes the loss of mineral salts and vitamins. Cold tea-based beverages such as chilled green tea with strawberries and lemon juice do this especially well.

Kenyan green tea. Summer berry mix.
Ingredients
  • green Kenyan tea 2 tsp
  • fresh strawberries 200 g
  • freshly squeezed lemon juice 1/4 cup (s)
  • hot water 400 ml
  • cold water 1/2 glass (s)
  • sugar 1/3 cup (s)
  • ice 1 glass (s)

STEP-BY-STEP COOKING RECIPE

Step 1
Heat water in an electric kettle to a boil.
Step 2
Pour hot water into any wide container and leave to cool for 5-7 minutes so that the water temperature drops to 70-85 degrees.
Step 3
Pour 2 teaspoons of green tea into the teapot, fill the tea with cooled water and let it brew for 5 minutes. Then let it cool down to room temperature.
Step 4
Take a bowl, put fresh strawberries in it, add sugar and mash with a fork until smooth.
Step 5
Take a small saucepan, pour ½ cup of water into it, add the mashed strawberries and sugar and, while stirring, bring to a boil over high heat.
Step 6
Take a large jug and pour the cooled green tea into it, add the strawberry puree, stir. If you are not very fond of the pulp, you can use a sieve to separate the strawberry juice from the puree.
Step 7
Top with lemon juice and stir again.
Step 8
Add ice cubes, serve cold.
