Ingredients

STEP-BY-STEP COOKING RECIPE

Step 1
Prepare tomato sauce. To do this, heat 1 tbsp in a saucepan. l of vegetable oil. Cut the tomatoes into cubes, put them in a saucepan and first fry them over high heat for 7 minutes (until they give a lot of juice), then simmer over medium heat for 10-15 minutes. Add finely chopped garlic and a few hot chili peppers about halfway through the frying. Finally, add salt and sugar to taste. Sugar - about 1 tsp, without it the taste of this sauce will not open.
Step 2
Pour the sauce into a colander and grind it, getting rid of the tomato skin. I use a special rubbing attachment for my food processor, or it can be rubbed through a sieve.

Peel the onions and carrots, chop the onions into small cubes, grate the carrots on a fine grater. Fry onions and carrots in vegetable oil until tender.

In a saucepan, bring about 1-1.5 liters of water to a boil. Salt. Cut the cabbage into small cubes. Cook the cabbage until al dente for about 7-10 minutes. Throw the finished cabbage in a colander, save the broth.
Step 5
Combine: minced meat, fried onions with carrots, boiled cabbage, boiled rice, salt, pepper - mix everything thoroughly.

Form large cabbage rolls from minced meat with hands moistened with cold water, place in a deep baking dish. By the way, stuffed cabbage rolls can be frozen.

Mix together the tomato sauce and the broth remaining after cooking the cabbage.
Step 8
Pour cabbage rolls with sauce, put in an oven preheated to 220 degrees, wait for a boil, turn the temperature to 180 degrees and bring to readiness. On average, stuffed cabbage rolls are cooked 50 minutes -1 hour.
