Olivier with ham
Don't like the traditional version with boiled sausage? Make a ham salad! And the tastier it is, the better the salad will turn out. What is the advantage of such a Olivier? In our opinion, this option is more "premium", especially if you add capers to the dish, as suggested in the recipe. Well, if you are not lazy and prepare mayonnaise for Olivier with ham yourself - from good fresh eggs and aromatic vegetable oil, then the dish will definitely go from the category "like everyone else" to the category "for a special occasion".
Ingredients
- potatoes (boiled) 3 pcs.
- carrots (boiled) 3 pcs.
- chicken egg (boiled) 4 pcs.
- cucumber (pickled) 4 pcs.

- ham 300 g
- capers 2 tbsp.
- mayonnaise to taste
- mustard 1 tsp
- black pepper mill to taste

STEP-BY-STEP COOKING RECIPE
Step 1
Prepare all the ingredients for the ham salad. First, peel the potatoes and carrots and cut them into small cubes. Place in a large deep bowl.
Step 2
Cool hard boiled eggs, peel and cut into small cubes. A mechanical egg cutter can be used. Cut the ham into small cubes.
Step 3
Add chopped eggs and ham for salad to Olivier salad in a bowl with potatoes and carrots. Add green peas and diced pickles.
Step 4
In a bowl of ham salad ingredients, add mayonnaise, mustard, finely chopped capers, a little salt and ground black pepper (you can also use white if you like).
Step 5
Stir the ingredients of the Olivier salad with the ham. Tighten the top of the bowl with cling film and put the salad in the refrigerator for 40 minutes. Then put in a nice salad bowl and serve.
