Pahlava
There are a lot of baklava recipes, but I want to show you the one that I liked the most.
Ingredients
- flour 600 g
- ghee 200 g
- milk 200 ml
- eggs 3 pcs.
- yolk 1 pc.
- salt 5 g
- dry yeast 0.5 tsp
- walnut 500 g
- almonds 50 g
- sugar 600 g
- vanillin 1 g
- turmeric 2 g
- saffron 1 g
STEP-BY-STEP COOKING RECIPE
Step 1
Heat milk, mix with butter.
Step 2
Add eggs, salt, yeast.
Step 3
Sift flour and knead a soft elastic dough. Leave the finished dough in a warm place for 1-2 hours.
Step 4
At this time, you can do the filling. Lightly fry the walnuts and peel off excess husks and debris.
Step 5
Stir in sugar, vanilla and saffron and grind in a blender.
Step 6
Roll out the last thicker layer and carefully lay on top of all and join the edges. Just put the baking sheet in the preheated oven for a minute, take it out, cut into diamonds (not reaching 1 layer to the bottom !!!), grease the surface with a mixture of egg and turmeric, stick almonds into the middle of each diamond.
