Polenta casserole with minced meat
If you are throwing a Mexican-style party, then remember the recipe for our casserole. It is prepared simply, you can immediately feed many guests with it. If you need to cook a larger portion, just increase the amount of filling - add a can of canned beans or a can of corn to the minced meat, and adjust the spiciness as you like.
Ingredients
- 600 g minced pork
- 400 g chopped tomatoes, s / s
- 100 ml dry red wine
- 1 large onion
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 2 tbsp. l. vegetable oil
- 1 tbsp. l. butter for the mold
- 1 tsp. brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
- 10 black peppercorns
- 5 allspice peas
- 1 tsp ground dried ginger
- salt
- 2/3 cup cornmeal
- 1/3 cup wheat flour
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 egg
- 2/3 st. grated cheddar
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
STEP-BY-STEP COOKING RECIPE
Step 1
1. Preheat oven to 200 ° C. Oil a ceramic or glass baking dish.
Step 2
2. Put all the spices in a mortar, add a pinch of salt and crush.
Step 3
3. Peel the onion and cut into small cubes. Peel and mince the garlic. Heat oil in a skillet, sauté the onions and garlic over medium heat until soft. Then add the minced meat and fry, stirring occasionally, for another 5 minutes. Pour spices, sugar and salt into the minced meat and fry together for another 5 minutes. Add tomatoes and wine and simmer for 15 minutes.

4. Combine corn and wheat flour, baking powder and salt, add milk and egg and stir well. At the end, add 1/2 cup of cheese, you should get a fairly thick dough.

5. Put the minced meat in a baking dish, spoon the dough on it. Smooth the surface and sprinkle with the remaining grated cheese. Place in a preheated oven and bake for 30 minutes.
