Amber apple pie

If you need to lime a myriad of counterparts, then this recipe is for you. A very interesting and tasty pie with an indescribable apple aroma. The whole pie is almost solid filling 😋 Recipe from Tatiana Tolstaya, the ingredients are given on a mold with a diameter of 18 cm.

Amber apple pie
  • Antonovka apples 1.2 kg
  • sugar - 4-5 tbsp. with a slide for apples + 2 tbsp. 7 tbsp for the dough.
  • wheat flour (tbsp. with a slide) 2 tbsp.
  • butter 30 g
  • chicken eggs 2 pcs.
  • baking powder 4 g
  • cinnamon 1 pinch (s)


Step 1
Cut the apples into quarters. Do not peel off the peel, this is the whole point, and, of course, cut out and remove the middle. Then stack all the apples with the peel down in a circle so that the first layer lies beautifully, as tightly as possible. I have a mold with a diameter of 18 cm, I will also add that it is better not to use split molds, because the paper may not hold that much apple syrup and it will leak. I like to sprinkle each layer of apples with cinnamon, but that's a matter of taste.
Step 2
We spread the second layer of apples all the same, peel down. Sprinkle the apples with sugar on top (I add a couple of tablespoons, but more is possible).
Step 3
Bake the apples in a hot oven until you see that the apples, although they have retained their shape, are baked through, settled and become soft. Remove the dish from the oven and set aside for 10 minutes. The top should not burn, if it is too browned, cover it with baking paper or foil.
Step 4
I highly recommend adding something creamy to the cake: just pour heavy cream or add vanilla ice cream, which is traditional in such cases. Enjoy your meal!
