American Nut Cinnamon Cookies
Ingredients
  • 230 g butter
  • 150 g cane sugar
  • 100 g regular sugar
  • 30 g of liquid honey
  • 1 egg С0
  • 350 g flour
  • 150 g shelled walnuts, hazelnuts or pecans
  • 100 g light raisins, dried cranberries or dried apricots
  • 0.5 tsp soda
  • 0.3 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • a pinch of salt

STEP-BY-STEP COOKING RECIPE

Step 1
Preheat oven to 180 ° C. Beat the softened butter with two types of sugar and honey until creamy. Add the egg and beat again.
Step 2
Combine flour, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt. Add the resulting mixture to the egg and butter mass, stir until smooth.
Step 3
Lightly fry the nuts in a dry frying pan, chop into small pieces, mix with the raisins into the dough.
Step 4
Form small balls about the size of a walnut and place on a baking sheet lined with baking paper, 2 cm apart. Before baking, the biscuits can be cooled in the refrigerator for 15–20 minutes, this will prevent them from spreading too much in the oven.
Step 5
Bake in the center of the preheated oven for 10-15 minutes. The finished biscuits will be soft but will become denser after cooling
