Apple Blondies with Walnuts
Before baking, the blondie can be sprinkled with brown sugar for a crisp crust.
Ingredients
- 3 sour green apples (granny smith, simirenko)
- 100 g walnuts
- 110 g butter
- 100 g of sugar and cane sugar
- 1 egg С0
- 180 g flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 0.5 tsp. ground cinnamon and ginger powder
- a pinch of salt and freshly grated nutmeg
STEP-BY-STEP COOKING RECIPE
Step 1
Preheat oven to 180 ° C. Melt the butter, cool and whisk with two types of sugar. Add the egg and beat until fluffy.
Step 2
Combine flour, salt, spices, and baking powder separately. Add the resulting mixture to the egg and butter mass, stir until smooth.
Step 3
Peel and core the apples, cut the pulp into small cubes. They can be added to the dough fresh or fried in a pan with a small piece of butter, sprinkled with brown sugar, 4–5 minutes.
Step 4
Lightly fry the nuts in a dry frying pan, chop into small pieces. Stir the apples and nuts into the dough and transfer to a 20x20 cm baking dish, greased and floured (or lined with baking paper).
Step 5
Bake in the center of the preheated oven until golden brown, 40-50 minutes. Readiness can be checked with a toothpick. The apple blondie can be served hot with vanilla ice cream.
