Baked elk Hunting style

STEP-BY-STEP COOKING RECIPE
Step 1
Cut the elk meat into pieces and soak in cold water for 2-4 hours, changing the water several times. Then we prepare the marinade from the specified products. Finely chop the garlic and herbs, knead the spices, dilute the wine vinegar with water to 4-5%. Marinate the elk and leave in the refrigerator overnight. The marinade should cover the meat. The next day we will prepare the vegetables, wash and clean them. Cut into pieces.
Step 2
Fry the onion until transparent with a pinch of sugar.
Step 3
Put a layer of vegetables in a ceramic pot, a layer of meat, then vegetables again. We put bay leaves and juniper berries.
Step 4
Let's dilute Tatar sauce and horseradish from TM "Maheev" with water.
Step 5
Pour into a pot. You don't need a lot of liquid, meat and vegetables will languish in their own juice.
Step 6
We put the pot in the oven, turn it on 180-190 degrees. Leave it to cook for 3-3.5 hours. After 2 hours, the temperature in the oven can be reduced to 160-150.
