Carrots in milk sauce

This boiled carrot in milk sauce is a healthy food item. Various vegetables can be cooked in milk sauce: potatoes, green peas, beans, asparagus. They can be mixed with each other, and for a bright taste of the vegetable, pre-fry quickly in a dry frying pan.

Carrots in milk sauce
Ingredients
  • 500-600 kg of juicy carrots
  • 2 tbsp. l. flour
  • 50 g butter
  • 500 ml of milk
  • salt

STEP-BY-STEP COOKING RECIPE

Step 1
Cut the carrots into medium cubes. Boil in salted water until al dente (the inside of each carrot should be slightly firm). Throw in a colander.
Step 2
Make milk sauce at the same time. Melt butter over medium heat. Add flour and heat with constant stirring over medium heat until light brown and nutty flavor. While stirring, add hot salted milk in a thin stream. Cook for 10-12 minutes. Remove from heat.
Step 3
Add carrots to the sauce, mix gently. Leave it on for 15-20 minutes. Serve warm with meat or poultry.
