Chinese Squid with Ginger and Celery
Delicious and spicy Chinese calamari will not leave you indifferent. The recipe should appeal even to those who do not like the smell of seafood, since the specific smell is completely absent thanks to the seasonings.
Ingredients
- squid 1 kg
- celery (stems) 250 g
- soy sauce 3 tbsp
- wine vinegar 2 tablespoons
- vodka 2 tbsp
- onion 2 pcs.
- ginger (root) 10 g
- ground allspice 1 pinch
- vegetable oil for frying 2 tbsp.
STEP-BY-STEP COOKING RECIPE
Step 1
Wash the squids, remove the chord and films, cut into strips. Boil the squid in boiling water for 2 minutes. No longer needed, otherwise they will become rubber.
Step 2
Chop the celery stalks.
Step 3
Boil chopped celery for 1 minute in boiling water.
Step 4
Chop the onion finely.
Step 5
Peel the ginger root and grate on a fine grater.
Step 6
Heat vegetable oil in a wok. Fry the grated ginger and onion in it until slightly golden brown.
Step 7
Add squid and celery, fry for 2 minutes.
Step 8
Finally add soy sauce, wine vinegar, vodka and allspice. Salt if necessary.
