English pie "Banoffy pie"
Banoffi pie is a British cuisine dessert. It can be tart, pie or cake. The base for this dessert is made from shortcrust pastry, and a creamy banana filling is used as a filling.
Ingredients
- flour 250 g
- butter 125 g
- egg 1 pc.
- yolk 1 pc.
- icing sugar 35 g
- boiled condensed milk 380 g
- bananas 2 pcs.
- cream 33% 400 ml
- instant coffee 1 tsp
- salt
- ground coffee
STEP-BY-STEP COOKING RECIPE
Step 1
Sift flour, add powdered sugar (25 gr.), A pinch of salt and mix. Then add diced cold butter and quickly grind until crumbly. Add egg and yolk, knead the dough. We wrap the resulting dough in a plastic bag and put it in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
Step 2
Grease the baking dish with butter, spread the dough around the entire perimeter of the form, making the sides. Put a piece of parchment with a load (beans or peas) on the bottom and bake until golden brown. Take the cake out of the oven and cool it.
Step 3
Preparing the cream. Whisk chilled cream with powdered sugar (2 tsp) and instant coffee into a strong foam.
Step 4
Put boiled condensed milk on the cooled crust, put bananas cut into circles on top, decorate with creamy coffee cream, sprinkle with ground coffee.
Step 5
It is better to put English pie in the refrigerator for a short time before serving.
