Meatballs with cheese and fennel
Fennel seeds give a special piquancy to meatballs. Meatballs are cooked in tomato sauce with vegetables. They can be served with almost any side dish.
Ingredients
- minced beef 500 g
- parmesan 50 g
- fennel seeds 1 tsp
- bread crumbs 50 g
- garlic 2 tooth.
- olive oil 2 tablespoons
- onion 1 pc.
- carrots 1 pc.
- cut tomatoes in s / s 400 ml
- parsley for serving
- celery 2 stalks
STEP-BY-STEP COOKING RECIPE
Step 1
Fold into a large bowl: minced meat, grated parmesan, fennel seeds, crackers, pass the garlic through a press. Season with salt and pepper.
Step 2
Knead the minced meat thoroughly, roll into balls the size of a walnut.
Step 3
Heat oil in a frying pan, fry meatballs until golden brown. It may take several passes.
Step 4
Heat oil in a large saucepan. Finely chop the carrots, onions and celery. Fry in a saucepan.
Step 5
Add tomatoes to the vegetables and, if necessary, a little boiling water so that the sauce is not too thick.
Step 6
Place the fried meatballs in the sauce and cook until tender, covered.
Step 7
Sprinkle with chopped parsley when serving. Enjoy your meal!
