Mushroom soup
Ingredients
- dried mushrooms (handful) 3 pcs.
- potatoes 3 pcs.
- onion 2 pcs.
- pearl barley 100 g
- cream
- salt
STEP-BY-STEP COOKING RECIPE
Step 1
Soak dried mushrooms in cold water overnight.
Step 2
Remove the mushrooms soaked overnight from the water, chop finely and put them in a five-liter saucepan.
Step 3
Using cheesecloth, gently pour the mushroom water into a saucepan and also add plain cold water to the pan. Put the pan on fire.
Step 4
Peel the onions, chop finely and fry in vegetable oil.
Step 5
Rinse the barley, cover with cold water, bring to a boil, reduce heat and cook until tender.
Step 6
Peel the potatoes and cut them into cubes.
Step 7
Add potatoes to the finished mushroom broth and cook until tender. Add the fried onions and the prepared barley to the pan with the mushroom broth and potatoes, and season with salt. Bring the soup to a boil and cook for another five minutes. Pour the finished soup into bowls.
Step 8
If desired, season the mushroom soup with sour cream.
