Gnocchi, basic recipe
Classic gnocchi are made from potatoes, wheat flour and chicken yolks. Gnocchi can be served as a main course, or it can be made as a side dish, cooked with sauce, vegetables or cheese.
Ingredients
- starchy potatoes - 1 kg
- wheat flour for general use - 60 g plus for molding
- chicken egg yolks - 2 pcs.
- salt
STEP-BY-STEP COOKING RECIPE
Step 1
Using a dough scraper, chop up the mass until it comes together. Gather the mixture together, press down on top with your hands, scatter the remaining flour and continue folding and pressing on the dough until it is completely smooth. Collect the finished dough into a thick sausage.
Step 2
Dust a clean work surface and dough with flour. Cut a piece 2.5 cm thick, roll the sausage and slice it across into pieces.
