Revani
My Turkish history began with this delicacy, this is the first Turkish pastry made with my own hands. Revani pie is very easy to prepare and at the same time is not quite an ordinary manna, thanks to citrus notes and coconut flakes. And see how deliciously the crust is soaked in lemon-orange syrup. Solid sun! I decided to deviate quite a bit from the classic recipe and make a thick syrup from two citrus components, I really wanted the juiciness of the orange and its bright taste. Also in the original recipe, classic yogurt or low-fat sour cream is added. I omitted these ingredients, I wanted the cake to come out more lean, crumbly. For the same reasons, I was not tempted to change the butter and here I already went the canonical way and used vegetable instead of butter, which is sometimes added to this recipe. For those who want the pie to turn out to be more creamy and milky, I recommend adding 50g of yogurt (or better sour cream) and replacing the vegetable oil with butter (which can be done one to one, you won’t go wrong). Well, brew black tea, but make it stronger, and don't forget to add dried thyme to it. Beware! The aromas will penetrate into all unprotected places of your cozy home and will gather in the kitchen all those who are tempted, that is, the whole family. Therefore, brew more tea. Let's start our exciting gastronomic journey to Turkey.
