Revani - Turkish sweetness
Juicy, incredibly tender Revani soaked in aromatic syrup will not leave anyone indifferent, everyone will ask for another piece of this delicious Turkish dessert !!!
Ingredients
- eggs 3 pcs.
- natural yogurt 200 ml
- sugar 200 ml
- vegetable oil 100 ml
- semolina 200 g
- baking powder 1 tsp
- lemon cedar 2 tbsp.
- vanillin 1 dl
- flour 200 g
- water 250 ml
- sugar 250 g
- lemon juice 2 tablespoons
- icing sugar 3 tbsp
- fresh mint leaves 3 pcs.
STEP-BY-STEP COOKING RECIPE
Step 1
Pour sugar into a deep cup, add eggs and beat until fluffy.
Step 2
Add yogurt, flour with baking powder, vegetable oil, and mix well again.
Step 3
Next, add semolina, vanilla, lemon zest to the dough and mix well again.
Step 4
Cover the baking dish with baking paper, grease it a little with vegetable oil, spread the dough and bake the rhubarb in a preheated oven at 180 * C for 30-35 minutes.
Step 5
While the révanie is baking, prepare the syrup: pour water into a saucepan, add sugar and lemon juice, set on maximum heat and bring to a boil, then make medium heat and cook the syrup for another 5 minutes. Cool it down.
Step 6
Pour the chilled syrup into the hot révanie. Cut into small squares or rhombuses.
Step 7
Serve with powdered sugar, decorate with lemon zest, mint leaves and, if desired, coconut. Enjoy your tea !!!
