Royal Mackerel Sandwich
This sandwich, in spite of its volume, outperforms its classic version, because it retains the freshness and juiciness of its filling, does not let it wind and dry from the moment of preparation until it is eaten. Ideal for a picnic. The right solution for a long trip.
Ingredients
- rye round bread 300 g
- hot smoked mackerel 230-250 g
- radish 2 pcs.
- pickled cucumber 2 pcs.
- mayonnaise TM "Maheev" with lemon juice 4 tbsp.
- basil 1 bunch (s)
- green onions 1 bunch (s)
- ground black pepper 1/2 tsp
STEP-BY-STEP COOKING RECIPE
Step 1
Prepare the filling for the sandwich. Separate the mackerel fillets from the backbones and rib bones. Divide it into small pieces, while carefully selecting the small muscle bones. Cut the radish and pickled cucumbers into small cubes. Chop basil leaves and green onions. Combine all components in a bowl. Season with freshly ground black pepper. Add Maheev mayonnaise with lemon juice. Mix.
Step 2
Cut the bread lengthwise into equal parts (cakes). Remove the crumb from the bottom "cake". In other parts (excluding the lid), leave the crumb, but press it down, forming a kind of plate.
Step 3
Fill each "cake" with the filling so that it is flush with the edges of the bread. Cover with a bread lid and press lightly.
Step 4
Wrap the finished sandwich in foil on all sides and place in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours so that all the ingredients come together.
Step 5
Take tape with you to your picnic. Unwrap and slice in place with a sharp knife, as if cutting a cake. The pieces keep their shape well.
