Seaweed soup
Delicious, healthy and nutritious soup.
Ingredients
- chicken broth or water 1.5 l
- potatoes 3 pcs.
- carrots 1 pc.
- onion 1 pc.
- boiled eggs 3 pcs.
- sea cabbage 200 g
- canned green peas 150 g
- vegetable oil for frying 1 tbsp.
- salt 1 pinch (s)
- freshly ground black pepper 1 pinch (s)
- for serving: sour cream 1 tbsp.
- fresh greens (twig) 1 pc.
STEP-BY-STEP COOKING RECIPE
Step 1
The soup turns out to be very tasty in chicken broth, but you can also cook it just in water. Chicken broth must be cooked in advance from any parts of the chicken with the addition of allspice, salt and bay leaf. Strain the finished broth and bring to a boil.
Step 2
Wash the potatoes, peel and cut into cubes. Add potatoes to boiling broth.
Step 3
Finely chop the onion, fry in vegetable oil.
Step 4
Then add grated carrots to the onion in a pan.
Step 5
Add the sautéed onions and carrots to the potatoes and cook over medium heat until the potatoes are almost cooked.
Step 6
Only after that we add seaweed (without liquid), because the potatoes can remain hard from its acid. I added dried seaweed.
Step 7
After that, add the peas (without liquid) and the eggs grated on a fine grater. Cook for another 5 minutes, then taste for salt and pepper and, if necessary, salt and season the soup with pepper.
