Turkish balls with nuts
Ingredients
  • dry yeast 11 g
  • flour 600 g
  • sugar 50 g
  • salt 1 tsp
  • water 250 ml
  • butter 100 g
  • vegetable oil 2 tbsp
  • egg yolk 1 pc.
  • water 200 ml
  • sugar 200 g
  • lemon juice 2 tablespoons
  • limoncello 1 tbsp
  • funduk 300 g

STEP-BY-STEP COOKING RECIPE

Step 1
Mix yeast with 1 teaspoon sugar and 1/2 cup warm water. Sprinkle with flour and leave warm until the yeast "revives" and cracks appear on the flour.
Step 2
Stir sugar, salt, yolk, vegetable and soft butter in the remaining water and combine with yeast.
Step 3
Add the sifted flour in parts (the amount of flour is conditional) and knead the soft dough. Leave in a warm place to lift.
Step 4
Transfer the balls, seam side down, on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and set aside for 20-30 minutes.
Step 5
Sprinkle the balls that have cooled and soaked in syrup with powdered sugar.
