Casknopfl or dumplings with cheese.
Kasknopfl (kasknopfl) - European dish, originally from the cuisine of Liechtenstein. Processed cheese or other soft cheeses work best for it. We use Hochland with ham.
Ingredients
- egg 1 pc.
- water 1 glass
- salt 1 tsp
- wheat flour 600 g
- processed cheese 200 g
- onion 1 pc.
- greens 1 bunch
STEP-BY-STEP COOKING RECIPE
Step 1
Prepare the dough, finely chop the onion and greens, salt the onion a little.
Step 2
Squeeze circles out of the rolled dough. We spread the onion, then the herbs (we have parsley and basil) and processed cheese. We pinch the edges.
Step 3
Cook for 1-2 minutes. If we use raw onions, then in the finished dish it will be "al dente" - slightly crunchy. If you do not like such onions, you can pre-fry them slightly.
Step 4
It turns out to be an easy but satisfying dish. Lubricate with oil before serving.
