Figs in honey
Ingredients
- 1 kg fresh figs
- 500 g meadow honey
- toast for serving
STEP-BY-STEP COOKING RECIPE
Step 1
In a heavy-bottomed saucepan, combine honey and 350-400 g of drinking water. Simmer over medium heat until honey is completely dissolved.
Step 2
Dip the whole figs in the syrup and cook for 60-70 minutes. Cool completely. Transfer to a jar or food container. Store in the refrigerator. Serve with whole grain toast.
