Kefir buns with olives and herbs
Fragrant and tasty buns are very soft and are not inferior to baked goods made from yeast dough. And the filling in such pies-buns can be put to your taste, even sweet.
Ingredients
- wheat flour (1 cup = 240 ml) 1.5 cup (s)
- sugar 2 tablespoons
- kefir 1% 0.5 glass (s)
- baking powder 1 tsp
- butter 85 g
- boiled chicken egg 3 pcs.
- greens: dill, parsley, green onions 1 bunch (s)
- processed cheese 2 tbsp
- salt 1 pinch (s)
- canned olives. b / c 150 g
- cumin (optional) 1 tsp
STEP-BY-STEP COOKING RECIPE
Step 1
Sift the flour into a bowl, add all dry ingredients: baking powder, sugar and salt, mix. If with a sweet filling, add vanillin or vanilla sugar.
Step 2
Add soft butter and grind with flour.
Step 3
Add warm kefir and knead the dough.
Step 4
Cover the bowl with a towel and let the dough "rest" for 20 minutes.

In the meantime, we will prepare the filling: finely chop the boiled and peeled eggs. Chop the greens. Add 2 tbsp. l. melted cheese, chopped olives and stir.
Step 6
Divide the dough into 9 pieces and form into round cakes.
Step 7
Place the filling on the tortillas.
Step 8
Close the filling with dough and collect in a knot.
Step 9
Put the workpieces on a baking sheet covered with parchment and oiled, seam down.
Step 10
Use a sharp knife or scissors to make an incision on top of the buns in the form of snowflakes. Lubricate the blanks with kefir, sprinkle with caraway seeds and bake in an oven preheated to 180 C for about 25-30 minutes. Be guided by your oven.
Step 11
If you want to grease the pastries with whipped yolk, then only after baking. Let the patties rise, and then grease the hot ones with a beaten egg.
