Quinoa with Strawberry and Nut Butter
Quinoa is not the most common cereal in our country, but it's a pity - it could well grow not in South America, but in our middle lane, even in every yard. It is tasty, healthy and has an original texture. If you don't find quinoa, use loose rice.
Ingredients
- 200 g of quinoa
- 200 g strawberries (unsweetened and hard)
- 1 large orange
- 2-3 sprigs of mint
- 4 tablespoons sugar
- 1 tbsp. l. vanilla sugar
- nut butter (walnut, pine nut, almond)
STEP-BY-STEP COOKING RECIPE
Step 1
Finely chop the mint leaves, remove the zest from the orange and squeeze the juice.
Step 2
Rinse and cook the quinoa thoroughly according to package directions. Throw in a sieve, put in a bowl, drizzle with nut butter, orange juice, sprinkle with zest and mint, stir.
Step 3
Chop the strawberries coarsely. In a nonstick skillet, heat sugar and vanilla sugar with 1 tbsp. l. water. Once the sugar has dissolved, add the strawberries, stir quickly and remove from heat. Let sit in the pan for 5 minutes.
Step 4
Mix strawberries with quinoa and serve immediately.
