Oat sticks with cheese
When Englishwomen get tired of eating oatmeal, they cook these oatmeal sticks for breakfast ... It's a joke, of course. To begin with, among many of our English friends, there is not one who would eat oatmeal for breakfast. And our editorial staff, many of whom are ardent admirers of this cereal in any form, happily ate these sticks after work, and with beer.
Ingredients
- 200 g oatmeal
- 100 g flour
- 80 g butter
- 50 g of Dutch or other semi-hard cheese
- 100 g of milk
- salt
- freshly ground black pepper
STEP-BY-STEP COOKING RECIPE
Step 1
In a large bowl, combine oatmeal, sifted flour, salt and pepper. Add the diced butter. Pour in milk and knead the dough.
Step 2
Grate the cheese on a fine grater. Add the grated cheese to the oatmeal dough, stir. Roll out the dough into a rectangle about 4 mm thick. Cut it into strips 1 cm wide.
Step 3
Transfer the strips to a baking sheet lined with oiled parchment and place in the preheated oven for 10 minutes. Serve warm or cool completely.
