British meatballs with gravy
Hearty meatballs with sweet onions and cheese filling, plus savory gravy and mashed potatoes.
Ingredients
- onion 2 pcs.
- rosemary 2 sprigs
- olive oil
- Worcestershire sauce 2 tbsp
- minced pork 500 g
- minced beef 500 g
- bread crumbs 50 g
- hard cheese 80 g
- flood:
- minced beef 200 g
- onion 1 pc.
- rosemary 2 sprigs
- light beer 200 ml
- flour 2 tbsp.
- black currant jam 1 tbsp
- mustard 2 tsp
- white wine vinegar 2 tbsp
- potatoes:
- potatoes 1 kg
- butter 20 g
- salt pepper
STEP-BY-STEP COOKING RECIPE
Step 1
Meatballs. In a food processor, chop 2 onions and 2 sprigs of rosemary, put in a frying pan, put it on medium heat, add oil, pour in Worcester sauce. Cook for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Step 2
Season to taste, cool, mix with minced meat and bread crumbs. Divide into 16 parts. Cut the cheese into 16 pieces, press a piece of cheese into each lump and roll into a ball. Put in the refrigerator.
