Date pudding with caramel sauce
The incomparable date pudding tastes good on its own, but with caramel sauce it turns into food of the gods.
Ingredients
- Earl gray tea bags 4 pcs.
- dates 450 g
- cinnamon 1 tsp
- 1/4 nutmeg
- softened butter 170 g
- flour 340 g
- baking powder 1 tsp
- brown sugar 340 g
- eggs 4 pcs.
- caramel sauce:
- rum (or flavoring) 30 ml
- butter 125 g
- brown sugar 125 g
- fat cream 150 ml
STEP-BY-STEP COOKING RECIPE
Step 1
Pour 300 ml of boiling water over tea bags and leave for 5 minutes.
Step 2
Remove seeds from dates, put them in a combine bowl with a knife attachment. Add cinnamon and grate nutmeg. Pour tea over everything, pressing down to cover everything. Leave on for 10 minutes. Scroll in mashed potatoes.
Step 3
Grind the butter with sugar. Drive in eggs one at a time.
Step 4
Add flour sifted with baking powder, mix.
Step 5
Add date puree and stir. Preheat oven to 180 °. Grease a baking dish with oil. Transfer the dough to a mold and place in the oven for 45-50 minutes or longer. Willingness to check with a toothpick. Cool the pudding first in the form, carefully remove and cool completely on the wire rack.
Step 6
Melt butter in a saucepan for the sauce. Add sugar, rum and warmed cream. Boil. Cook, stirring occasionally, for 5 minutes. The sauce is quite liquid. If you want, you can thicken it with starch.
Step 7
Pour the sauce over the pudding and garnish with sprinkles. Enjoy your meal!
