Hot dog with chili
Ingredients
- sausages (to your taste) 2 pcs.
- hot dog buns 2 pcs.
- Lancashire cheese 50 g
- green onions 1 pc.
- onions 1 pc.
- clove of garlic 2 pcs.
- cumin seeds 1/2 tsp.
- ground chili 1/2 tsp
- ground beef 300 g
- Worcestershire sauce 1 tsp
- tomato puree 2 tsp
- canned tomatoes 400 g
- sugar 1 pinch (s)
- dried oregano 1/2 tsp
- red onion 2 pcs.
- brown sugar 1 tbsp
- balsamic vinegar 1 tbsp
STEP-BY-STEP COOKING RECIPE
Step 1
Preheat a saucepan over medium heat. Add olive oil, fry the onions for 4-5 minutes, then add the garlic and fry until soft. Add cumin seeds, fry for 1-2 minutes, until aroma appears. Add chili and mix well.
Step 2
We put our minced meat and season. Increase the heat and add more oil. Fry rice for 6-8 minutes. When it starts to grill, add the Worcestershire sauce, reduce the heat and add the tomato puree, cook for another 1-2 minutes.
Step 3
Add tomatoes, sugar and oregano, a little pepper. Reduce heat to low, cover and leave for 20 minutes.
Step 4
Cooking caramelized onions. Heat a small skillet over medium heat and add olive oil. Add the onion with a good pinch of salt. Fry for 10-15 minutes, until the onions are soft and golden brown. Then add sugar and balsamic vinegar. Increase the heat and fry until the liquid has evaporated and the onion is crispy.
Step 5
We boil sausages.
Step 6
Putting the hot dog together: cut the bun and put the caramelized onion in the center, then the sausage, our chili on top, 1 or 2 spoons. Sprinkle with cheese and green onions, or any other herbs of your choice.
