Izmir Këftesi
This is a traditional Turkish dish, literally translated as Izmir cutlets. In the original, cutlets and potatoes are first fried separately in vegetable oil, and then, together with tomatoes and bell peppers, are baked in the oven. I didn't fry anything beforehand, and the dish turned out to be not at all heavy, but at the same time it remained satisfying. The combination of minced meat with spices, potatoes, tomatoes, garlic and bell pepper gives the dish an amazing taste. The red, tangy sauce gives extra flavor and makes the dish even brighter. Soak the sauce deliciously with fresh bread

STEP-BY-STEP COOKING RECIPE
Step 1
Mix all the ingredients for keftesi and knead the minced meat well, beat it thoroughly. Stick long cutlets, like for kebab (I got 12 pieces)
Step 2
Close the baking dish tightly with foil or a lid and place in a preheated oven up to 200 C for 1 - 1.5 hours. After an hour of baking, check the potatoes for softness, if they are ready, remove the mold, if not, leave them to bake for another half hour.
Step 3
Serve the dish hot with fresh cakes (pita, bread).
